The Connecticut Valley Fair is pleased to announce a unique fundraiser that our committee
has developed over the past several months to help fund the fair's move to the new site as quickly as possible.
As
sports facilities look for creative ways to make money with corporate naming rights, the Connecticut Valley Fair directors
have approved a similar plan, with a goal to generate enough money to help continue site development at the future site of
fair. Now until October 31st., 2008, the Connecticut Valley Fair is accepting
sealed bids for a 99-year lease for the exclusive field naming rights at the new fairgrounds. The highest sealed bid
of 250-thousand dollars, or more, will have exclusive naming rights to the field for a minimum term of 99-years, starting
at the first year the fair is held at the new fairgrounds. The name could honor a loved
one who has past away, a corporate entity could bid to have their name associated with the field, or perhaps a generous benefactor
will make a bid simply to help us out. Official Sealed Bid Submission Forms are now
available during normal business hours at: Robert's Thrift Store in Bradford, and downloadable on-line at the Connecticut
Valley Fair's special website: http://www.namethefield.com/ !!! The sealed bids will be opened, and the successful bidder announced during
the regularly scheduled November 2008 general meeting of Connecticut Valley Fair.
